This region is special because of the local individuals and groups that put in the time, energy, and passion to make a difference. We created the JUSTIN Community Grants program to support this great work. Since its launch in 2013, the JUSTIN Community Grants program has funded over 250 projects and supported over 150 teachers, totaling more than $2.1 million dollars. Our focus is supporting local organizations that strive to make this community a better place to live, work, and raise families. This year we will be committing $350,000 to local schools and non-profits. 

The 2025 JUSTIN Community Grant program is complete. The 2026 JUSTIN Community Grant application period will open January 2026.

Eligibility

Successful applicants MUST

  • Demonstrate a commitment to making the rural communities of North County a more equitable place to live, work, and play.

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, hospital, local government agency, or school (for individual classroom grants see below).

JUSTIN Community Grants are going to support schools and non-profits who are improving North County communities.

Grant Criteria

JUSTIN Community Grants will support organizations working across all program areas, but we especially encourage initiatives that support:

  • Health and Wellness
  • Recreation
  • Environmental Education
  • Art
  • Social Services
  • Youth Enrichment

Successful applicants will demonstrate community need and yield tangible and visible results. Funds are available for program development/expansion, innovation, small scale capital improvements, technology and equipment (please see FAQs for further details). We prefer to not fund general support through Community Grants.

Grant Amount

JUSTIN School and Community Grants will award a total of $350,000.

Grants can range from $1,000 to $50,000.
